Information we collect

We collect information you give us when you request a sample, buy a report, subscribe to alerts or contact us: your name, business email, company, job title, country, phone number and the content of your message.

When you buy a report we also collect billing details such as your billing address and tax number. Card and bank details are handled by our payment providers and are not stored on our servers.

We automatically collect limited technical data when you visit the site, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring site, through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use information

We use your information to deliver samples and purchased reports, respond to enquiries, process payments and invoices, provide customer support, and send research alerts you have asked for.

We may use business contact details to tell you about related reports and services. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to us.

We use aggregated website data to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

When you submit a form on this website, its contents are sent by email from our own web server to our sales team, and a confirmation is emailed to the address you entered. We do not store form submissions in a website database. To prevent abuse, the server keeps a temporary, anonymised record of the number of submissions per visitor for up to 24 hours.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to make the site work, such as remembering your theme or checkout selections, and analytics cookies to measure traffic and usage.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, such as payment processors, email delivery, hosting, CRM and analytics providers, under contracts that require them to protect it.

We may disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of Vectomat Insights, our clients or others.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes above, including to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Enquiry data is normally kept for up to three years after our last contact with you, and transaction records for the period required by law.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where they apply, the EU and UK GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask to access, correct, update or erase your personal information, withdraw consent, or object to direct marketing.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the time required by law.

International transfers

We are based in Canada, and our research team and service providers may process data in other countries, including India. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy and applicable law.
